Uy, one of the Filipino inventors of the Coir-reinforced Bio-Based High-density Polyurethane Composite for Structural Panels also known as “Earth Board”, who is set to represent the Philippines at the 50th International Exhibition of Inventions Geneva (IEIG) from April 9 to 13, 2025. He founded Lesstics Inc., a startup dedicated to sustainable construction materials by transforming waste materials, including single-use plastics and agricultural byproducts. His company focuses on creating sustainable and eco-friendly solutions, such as coconut fiberboards, that enhance the value of agricultural wastes while supporting a circular economy.
